JAM-INFUSED ROCK hand Crafted in Portland, ME
The Crowded Table is a Portland, Maine–based rock band blending the raw energy of jam improvisation with the craft of timeless songwriting. Their sound lives at the crossroads of groove and grit—equal parts rock, blues, funk, and exploratory jam—rooted in song craft but built to take flight.
Formed in 2021, the band has quickly become one of Portland’s most exciting live acts, known for high-energy shows that blur the line between structure and spontaneity. Every performance is different, shaped by deep musicianship, group chemistry, and the pulse of the crowd. Extended jams, seamless transitions, and moments of collective improvisation keep audiences guessing—and coming back.

The Crowded Table’s collaborative writing process fuels their signature sound: intricate guitar interplay, lush keyboard textures, and a rhythm section that locks in tight while leaving room to roam. Drawing from influences like Fleetwood Mac, The Allman Brothers Band, and Talking Heads—with the improvisational spirit of The Grateful Dead and Phish—the band bridges eras and styles while carving out something distinctly their own.

Their latest EP, Gather Round, packs rich melody, locked-in grooves, and fearless improvisation into every track—cementing the band as one of the region's most quickly evolving acts. Whether in the intimacy of a small venue or the expansive energy of a festival crowd—there's always a seat waiting at The Crowded Table.

"These guys play "feel good" music...just crank it, you'll see what I mean...Lovely vibes, totally dig it!"
